is it possible to paint your body kit?

i'm thinking about buying a bodykit. a R34 for my 02 lx auto 4dr. the question is, is it possible to spray paint it with matching paint color? if it's possible has anyone done it? how did it come out? any DIY??? or do i have to take it to the shop? how much did it cost you? i want a bodykit for my vic, but can't afford too much for them. thanks
