snow on battery??

hey members i drove in the snow yesterday parked my car in garage. opened hood to check oil level on dipstick and to my surprise my battery had snow on it ?? hood moulding is intaked anywhere else it could come from im puzled. ???

It can get blown in pretty easily, either while driving or being parked facing in to the wind. As long as the engine bay isn't packed full of snow it's nothing to worry about.

engine generates heat...heat needs to go somewhere.
car have openings to cool the engine.
Thus, during winter, snows gets in the engine bay thru that must needed openings.
heat will melt snow that gets in the parts that heat up, but battery is not supposed to heat too much (otherwise it will lose electric power).
Capisce?

no adiabatic engines developed so far (no need for cooling)
