TWM performance

Hi,

I will be posting this into every thread and forum I can find, because of the horrendous display of ethics and character that TWM has shown me.

In 2014 I purchased a short shifter kit from TWM performance, including a shift ****. This was purchased for my 2006 Acura CSX. I specifically went with TWM performance because of the guarantee on their site “This shifter will follow you into any car!”. That was the swaying factor to be dropping over $200 on a shift ****, and $800 on the short shifter assembly. I thought that going forward, TWM performance would have an adaptor to make sure my shift **** would be able to go on any future car. Overall I was satisfied with the **** and the service I received, at that point.

In April 2015 I purchased a brand new car; a Hyundai Genesis coupe. This is a popular choice among enthusiasts and -in general- definitely one of the cars that is sold in manual transmissions over automatic. Before purchasing the car I went onto the TWM performance site and searched for my new car under the same shift **** that I had already, to make sure they made it. I put the item in my cart and went all the way to the order screen to make sure that it would indeed be good to go. As the screenshots show, all mounting hardware is included in the purchase of a shift **** (shift **** only, not purchasing a short shifter).

Upon purchase of the car I called TWM simply to request that they send me the adaptor for my new car, and they responded by saying they cannot do it because of the new type of shaft that the **** goes on. The 2014’s have a forked end piece, with a ridge and plastic piece that snaps on. Apparently this is too complicated (even though myself and an architect friend are able to conceptualize a design). I went back to TWM and told them that I would be willing to help make the part for them, and that I just needed the dimensions on my end so my architect could design it.

They have not yet responded to my request and at that point they began answering the phone and hanging up when I called. As of today (September 14th, 2015), they still do not answer my e-mails and continue to hang up when I call. I’ve even called from a different number, and then once they heard it was me, they hung up the phone. This process began in early July, and is still currently ongoing.

I have informed them that I want 1 of 3 things, all of which I believe are fair and are all based on statements from their own website. “TWM Performance Hyundai Genesis Coupe Manual Shift ***** are the Ultimate, Motorsports proven, Premium Shift *****. They are Height adjustable, weighted, custom fitted, fulled transferable and are guaranteed for LIFE!.” They also in a second place on their website state : FULLY TRANSFERABLE : Getting a new ride? No worries, the M1 abrams shift **** will follow you FOR LIFE! TWM Performance offers adapters and solutions for ALL car makes.

The three options I have repeatedly offered them are as follows:

Return the product due to the false advertising on your website.
Build, and send me the adapter so my shift **** works on my new car as your policy states.
Send me the short shifter assembly so that the shift **** can work on that.

I don’t believe I’m asking for much, as the statements on their website led me to believe this shift **** would last me for life, and therefore is worth the 200$.

Please forward this message to:
shipping@twmperformance.com
returns@twmperformance.com
sales@twmperformance.com
info@twmperformance.com

Please inform TWM performance that due to their false advertising you will not be making a purchase on their website, and that they’ve lost business due to the horrendous display of customer service and business ethics.

Update ** TWM has finally updated their website to include up to the year 2013 Hyundai Genesis. As my screenshots show, this happened between 9/12/15 and 9/14/15. My complaint arose in early July.
