Now I know this is the same thing as asking "is it pluggged in"

But to make sure...

In my '14 that screen has multiple displays, triggered by pressing a little "i" button on the steering wheel, one of them is for putting in a picture, so if you don't have a picture it will be black.

Again, not trying to insult, just getting the simplest solution out of the way first!

If that isn't the problem pull out your owners manual, it will tell you what fuses power what, go ahead and check them.

Absolutely!

Dealer probably won't touch the car with aftermarket stuff in it. I know I wouldn't want to as we have zero documentation for aftermarket components.

Remove everything that is not factory.
Reinstall every last piece, return the car to 100% original.

If the IMID now works, the problem must have been with the non-original stereo stuff or whatever you have in there now.

If the IMID still does not work, now you can take it to the dealer.

I checked all the fuses in the engine bay and by the clutch pedal and they are all in working condition and i put back the stock head unit and the imid display is still off.
