2013 civic si or 2014 civic si

Sup guys i'm trying to get a new car right now and I can't decide to get the 2014 si sedan new or the 2013 civic si sedan used.

I saw honda's stock pictures on their website and the 2014 civic si sedan does NOT have a spoiler, which to be honest looks sick and not riced out haha so that would be a turn-off, but it does have keyless entry, added 4 horsepower and 4 lb/ft torque and lanewatch.

http://automobiles.honda.com/2014-civic/

I found a used civic si sedan in TW with 6k miles from a dealership, but then again I'm not sure if I should just get the 2014 si sedan. Opinions?

Re: 2013 civic si or 2014 civic si

We looked at used 2013 and then compared the 2014. My wife got the 2014 SI. Have a co-worker with the 2013 SI, they look identical outside for the most part. The 2014 technological advances I believe are worth the upgrade (hopefully the Android Auto will be an update in the future).

Plus I didn't really trust used SI's. Who knows how they treated the transmission. I think i abuse ours sometimes.

The SI Sedan has a normal looking spoiler. The Coupe is a bit more winged.

The lanewatch is more of a distraction in my opinion. I do find the keyless/push button start thing a bit odd (never had that before); keys always in my pocket, but no dangly on the dash. It took me a few minutes when moving a friends prius to figure out it was even on, at least you can hear the SI start.

I have no basis on the engine differences though. My wife was the only one who test drove the 13. Its peppier than our 06 Expedition and our 06 Escape obviously. I had to drive the Escape on a trip this weekend and it felt so slow.

We got our 14 less than what carmax was asking for the 2 13s that we looked at, so there you go.
