Exclamation 2010 Civic Ex- doing something different

Good Evening,

I have 2 questions:

1.) I have a stock 2010 civic Ex 4DR with auto. I'm really not getting anywhere asking my friends in the car club about suggesting doing a engine swap. Is there any better engine out there that is better than what I got now (The stock 1.8L), That I can do a engine swap or something & will mat right up with my auto tranny? My friend Kevin, think a 3.5 engine for a 2010 Accord will fit :/, I dunno bout that one!

2.) I know a turbo kit can work is made for it, But I dont think the Motor wont hold up to a extra 100 hp? Any thoughts and/or ideas?

Turbocharging would be the easier route to go with your car

Hmmmm... Will the K20A2 not mate up to an automatic tranny? Just throwing it out there but I'm not sure.

K20 swap is your best bet, avoid the a3 it sucks dick. a2, z1 or z3 would be what to look for. z1 makes the most power stock, z3 head flows the best if you want to boost, a2 is just kinda there(not a bad motor at all). If you wanna make the most power, a k24 block with the z3 head is the way to go. None of them will match to your auto trans, seeing as you have an r18 and the k series is completely different.

If you want to stick with the r18, you could throw a turbo kit on it. Run ~8psi, get a tune, and probably get ~30-50 more hp at the wheels.

Your motor can hold up to an extra 100hp. You just need to get it ready first
