Maintenance light

At what mileage does the maintenance minder( oil change) light come on for the 9th generation or 2012 civic?

But I think it's around 5,000, but that is wild guessing based on a foggy memory, could be way off.
Again, read the manual...should say something about it.

none of my Honda books told me the frequency of oil change..after 45 min I gave up.

Assuming you have an 8th or 9th gen car, the maintenance wrench light comes on when the oil life is 15%.

It could be 4000 miles, it could be 12,000 miles. It all depends on how you drive.
