aem intake

Hey everyone im new to the forum I just bought a 2011 civic si because my 08 civic lx lease was up. I wanted to ad an aem short ram intake system to the si. Is that a good choice? My goal is to get a better sound and added gas mileage. Also, whenever I do a search for the aem intake it will not show for the 2011 civic only the 06-07 like on amazon's like here:
http://www.amazon.com/AEM-22-516R-Sh...2007&carId=002

So will this fit my car?

Re: aem intake

the AEM short ram air intake is good, I have one installed in my '09 Civic SI. My only issue was getting a replacement filter. So i now have a K&N filter on the intake.

Bigblue, let it BREATHE, BUT go with CAI not SRI. Much better and cooler sounding. Just stay away from deep puddles and add the bypass flange for the CAI. I have an Injen CAI on mine. They are tuned better IMHO. This is the one I would buy if you want an AEM.

Re: aem intake

The short ram will definitely make it sound louder and more aggresive but wont give u as good of gas mileage as a cold air would because of the hot air that in the engine bay, if you want to make it perform better get a heat shield and block off the filter from the rest of the engine that will help.
