i live in tennessee and i want to get a HID kit but im not sure what the laws are......does anyone know? i wanna go with the 10000K light purple which i presume is the brightest

all 50 states, its illegal to put hid in a halogen reflector. even broader, its illegal to have hid on any car that did not come with hid from the factory. so even if you do a retrofit and put real hid projector in your headlight, its technically still illegal (even if it looks exactly like the bmw or whatever car it came from). but hid kit in halogen reflector is completely illegal and unsafe due to all the extra glare. and you wont get much if any extra light on the ground. halogen optics do not support hid bulb, which is a completely different technology. 4300k white is the brightest, thats what oems use. 10000k is prolly dimmer than a halogen bulb.

ya and 12000 are the brightest but u can see as well on the road the higher u go up im installing 8000 in my car soon. i just gotta find the seller on ebay
