OEM foglights, need help
OEM foglights, need help
i got these foglights, and the place i went to for them to install them, they said that they would have to take off the bumper and cut through and make its own harnest because they said there was no place for them to put them.
the website i got them said there should be no drilling involved and its bumper frame mounted.

they want to charge me 150 because they said the job would be big, i said hell no cause it shouldnt be complicated. how do i install these things

yeah you do have to cut holes in the bumper, thats how you install them. look at the pdf instructions for the oem fog lights at www.handaaccessories.com and also the harness it comes with is crap so youre better off buying a universal one from suvlights.com and using that.

yeah thats about what my bro paid to get his rsx ones put in. dealer charges $250 to install oem fogs so 150 is pretty good. it def takes around 4 hrs to do it all.

prolly needs a code. but you should get that battery saver thing at walmart, basically it connects to a 9v battery and you plug it to the cig lighter and put the key to acc position, so it will feeed off that power when the battery is disconnected. that way you dont lose any settings.

Yes you do need to cut a hole and take off the bumper, you can see a video regarding the full installation at Collage Hill Honda's website. It's about a 2 hour job and each garage charges different hourly labor.

Wow, you can buy the tools you need to install these and still come out cheaper then their quote. Really tho, you paid what- 50 bucks for your fogs and then your going to drop three times that on labor? Not cool. buy a screwdriver and a dremel, and do it yourself. Shoot, even barrow one from someone you know, or just use a small hand saw to do it. From there, its just simple wiring- connecting plugs and all that- you'd need a roll of wire, a few connectors, and some scissors/ wire cutters... job done. Drive over here and I'll do it for 100, lol... I cant stand shops charging so much for simple jobs, and I really cant stand ppl shelling out that much for someone else to do the work!
