new hybrid for 2006?

Will there be a new Civic hybrid for 2006? I think I read somewhere a while back that there would be, but I haven't heard anything else about it lately. I really like the other hybrid, so I'm looking forward to seeing what they may come up with.

You can also simply go to www.honda.com and see it there as well.

They must be spending a fortune if they are. A rollout like that on top of what's already on the showroom floor means they were plotting hybrid strategy while Ford GM and Chrysler were clinking ice at the Rouge.

Were the American carmakers not reading the same market research about hybrids that the japanese were?

LOL!
Very funny comment, but not altogether accurate. Ford did introduce the first hybrid SUV and has been sharing research with Toyota for a number of years now. Meanwhile, GM has spun their reactive nature into a proactive, pioneering business strategy. They are not ever going to produce a hybrid and believe that hybrids a merely a small step that can never achieve the ultimate goal. They are putting all thier eggs into hydrogen fuel cells and hope to produce the first model by 2010. Not exactly clinking ice...Problem is, if they are wrong, they are bankrupt. Not a good thing for the American economy. May the force be with you GM.

I went to the links you both provided, and they do have some nice pics. I really like the way the new hybrid looks. If it performa as well as they say, aI'm gonna' have to get one if I can afford it.

holding value

Did you read how hyrbrids are holding their resale value? I read on a Prius that sold sticker for $21,XXX and was bought 2nd gen at $25,000.

Interesting trend if hybrids don't degrade blue book as fast as conventional cars...
