there is a DIY on the site that tells you the exact bolt to get to just put over the transmission mount. this is much easier than loosening the the stock one trust me. As for the braket yes you need it and where to get it i have no idea other than AEM themselves maybe. You got ripped and better go after that guy until you get it.

well, I send a PM to both Circa X and Tornactive. See if they can help. Maybe we can do a 5 ppls groupbuy or something.

I suggest u just make one urself.. or find a flat metal bar that has two holes in it... all you really need it for is to keep the tranny cable bracket steady.. the ground cable can be mounted at other location.
its there to clear the opening for the 2nd tube.

Sorry to dig this thread back up from the recent dead (four years old...lol) but better than starting a new thread right? Nonetheless, I bought an intake from a member on this site (to be unnamed for now) and I did not get the bracket (have not been able to communicate with the seller for over a month…still trying). I was wondering if anyone has one to sell to me. The only place I can order one is in CA (I’m in NC) and the want too much for a little bracket. I am hoping that someone has one they and they are willing to help out a fellow Honda brother (EM2)!!! Or someone can take a picture of what they did if they didn’t have the bracket and/or how they made something themselves that worked. Any help would be great.

come on guys they sell bolts at the hardware store. there is nothing special about aem one. and there is plenty of metal bracket there too.
Re: For ppls who have AEM CAI on their EX (help)
I don't know what shape the bracket should look like or else I would make one. If someone wants to take pics of their setup and show me what it looks like that would be awesome. I just don't want to rig something up and have my intake rattle around in the bay and then have it annoy me and sound like a Ford. I am not under any misconception that a "perfectly" installed intake is going to boost HP at all, but I do like the noise they make (call me a kid) and I don’t want it to sound like junk if I can avoid it. Really I was hoping to see if anyone had a bracket they were not using and wanted to make a few bucks and help me out, or see what anyone else has done when they didn’t have the bracket. Nothing worse than having to do a job twice; especially when you hardly have time to do it once (school, work, wife….y’all know). Thanks to anyone willing to help me do it right the first time. No disrespect intended gearbox, maybe I was not clear in my question...no worries.
Re: For ppls who have AEM CAI on their EX (help)
^^^ +1 for pics. Maybe I'll try and tackle this today and make my own bracket, might wait and just buy one, still debating. Thanks again for pics. Anyone else had this problem before and how did you resolve it?
Re: For ppls who have AEM CAI on their EX (help)
just curious....
did any of the mounts come with rubber bumpers to eliminate vibration?
cuz when i got the InJen CAI for my 06' it came with all mounts actually tig welded on the piping and nuts, rubber bumps, cone airfilter and rubber hose sections to atacth the pipes together.
I was gonna go AEM until i found out they're crap!
Basically AEM makes tthe CAI first just to get it out on the market without any REAL R&D. Foir the 06' models AEM had the CEL kick on cuz its junk, so i opted for InJen with NO problems. Ive owned it for close to 2 years now and love it. Makes the car sound more aggressive too, if you want it to sound louder use a SRI as this sounds real good.
Buddies got a Fujita SRI and its pretty insane and looks OEM too which is cool.
Re: For ppls who have AEM CAI on their EX (help)
OK...I went to Lowes ponied up the 9 bucks and bought some brackets and nuts and bolts and clams and washers and stuff...I'll try and take pics as I go along and maybe this will help others who buy/get their intakes second hand and don't have any of the normal parts. Wish me luck...not once in my life have I installed a brand new part for my car, why start now...yea for custom fab when you don't have original stuff
Re: For ppls who have AEM CAI on their EX (help)
i got the rubber mounts on my 05 AEM CAI (EX) but i ended up getting Polyurethane instead, and FYI that kid who started this post, the bracket is 51.75 through AEM and not much cheaper anyplace else
