Great News From Apexi

I called them to tell them that i solved the problem with the VAFC for the 2001 with the help of others on this site. and they told me to send them an email.

Also in talking with the guy he said they are coming out with a VAFC2 that works with the D17a and I-VTEC in late july Early August. SO say by the end of august for sure. So either you get the VAFC1 now for under 300 on EBAY or get the VAFC for over 350 later. All should work but do not hold me or my DIY responsible for yours.

Just thought i would spread some cheer!!!!!!!

I just got it towork in 2 hours on an HX today. Fired right up no problems. MY DIY is how i got it to work. so print out my PDF and go through your setup step by step and make sure you are setup exactly like me and it should work just fine. www.underwater-design.com/vafcDIY

it was a fraid wire that stuck me. but i stopped the bleeding immediately (first aid 101 - apply preassure). lol

And yes the straight up cutting of the three required wires are painful as hell. but so worth it in the end!!!!!!!

you know i dont want to be rude or anything but i dont really believe anyone on here really solved the problem. All you did was just clarify in my diy or wangers diy what might have been backwards other than that you did not figure out as well as anyone else on this site to even use diodes so i believe you should rephrase that. and if anyone would check out my diy it will tell you exactly who FIGURED it out.

Well, I tried them both and the one that works for me is the DIY of the one diode...and it still f*cks up when it's cool in the morning. I tried the one with the 2 diodes and it didn't work at all. So, I don't know what's going on

will the V-AFC 2 stop the check engine light from being on due to an aftermarket downpipe?
