for those of you who know, i left my car on idle for 8 hours last night on accident, because i fell asleep. i left the car off after the 8 hours for almost 10 hours. when i went to go drive the car around, i smelled something god awful coming out from the exhuast. it smells like some kinda burning. please help! any good mechanics here? help me! its a 5spd 2002, with 22,000 miles on it. everything is fine with the coolant level...., but what can be this smell?

mabey while you had your car runnning last night a small animal crawled up in youe exhaust pipe and made itself a little home and this morning while you were driving, the animal was sucked up your exhaust and shredded to bloody pulp

I'm thinking it's your catalytic converter. Smell should go away with some milage
