What mods do you have?? Because A bone-stock civic EX in Deuchland on the autobahn goes 130mph.(down hill with the wind behind you)

can you take the governor off on auto?
CAn you take the governor off...i know you can adjust the throttle cable?

@blackwatch .. yes it is..

i hit something like 118mph too and then the ECU (no govenor*) shuts the gas off(i think thats what it is...)

and 140? is that kmh or what how do u guys make it up to 140. and i hate that there isnt any torque after u get to 110.

02 auto lx 120mph gov kicks in, i don't see how our cars have enough power or gearing to reach 140mph, must of been really windy or getting pushed by a 996 turbo

115 mph in my none modded LX sedan. I was on my way home from Texas and was bored of driving so I floored it once I got outside of Witchita, KS. Fort Worth, KS to KC, Mo is 9 hours. I made it back in 5-1/2.

I also got my '86 CRX just a little above 100 mph when I had it back in 2000. Didn't spend too long up there though... it was trying to shake itself apart.

I pulled my civic up to 130 with a CAI.
Can someone explain this torque issue after 110mph. To me the car makes torque the whole time. Just your final gear ratios make it seem like there is no torque.

I c u followed the dealers advice. I was told not to beat on the car for atleast 300 miles up to 1,000. I pulled 125 stock, but then i had to brake, probobly would get it going faster.

um i only managed about 105 but its only cuz the road i am on is too small and there are usually other people on it. I cant even top out 4th in my 2k2 LX 5spd... Thank god for radar detectors!

lets see.......my 02 lx sedan made 115 wit me and 2 others in the car.....took me forever just to get up to 115 tho....the needle moves ever so slow......and the car was bone stock as well....unless the tinting makes it go faster

Let's see- 200MPH!! In my dreams.

Our cars are limited in MPH to the amount of horses we have, so an EX will hit 127 & an LX 115? (i'm not sure how much they make) Unless you've got a re- programmed ECU, i don't see how you guys hit higher speeds (i've tried as well, w/ my 5 sp EX, CAI, I/H/E & now my cam) 130 may just be the dial reading incorrectly due to different rolling diameters or calibration issues (2.3% off).

my 2001 ex 5spd has done 125 with an exhaust.... then i got scared and slowed down...
