DIY: Turn your Headlight to Blue Color

How to make the headlight to be blue in color?

as what i seen in this forum, some one said, to open the headlight, just put it in the oven for 7min @ 250 Degree and just removed the amber inside then your light can be clear in color, but how about to get it blue?

not talking about to ebay and buy one.

how to do it?

Putting headlights in the oven is the correct way to seperate the lense from the housing.

Well, If you put ricerwhite bulbs in, they'll reflect blue on the housing... maybe thats what you're thinking of.

I think that is only a reflection of blue in the background somewhere.

it probably is the bulb that's turning it blue, but i don't think that's all that's different from a stock headlight assembly. looks to me like it's got a gunmetal look to it, like it's been spraypainted or something with the same stuff used to black out tails....maybe . i dunno, that's just what i thought

Its not the bulb making it blue, look closely, there are no bulbs in the headlights. Where did you find that pic, I WANT !!!!

Clear your headlights and paint your headlight trim a glossy black. Mine is a flat bluish, black color. Its cool what different primer colors can do to a finish product.

the oven.... i dunno about that... i'd rather take my time and clear them out using a blow dryer....

about the blue lights.... go grab some blue tint and tint the lens blue.... i don't think spray paints a good idea because it has the tendency to get really splotchy...... anyways... good luck..

I really doubt that those headlights are actually blue I think it is just reflection in the pic. I have seen the product on ebay many times and just dont think that they are actually blue because I have seen the same product advertised with different pic and it was not blue. I would love to find out how to make them blues because it would look cool as sh*t

The only way I clear headlights is in the over, way easier and saves alot of time. I have cleared 4 sets of lights that way for friends.

RedDragon333 will become famous soon enough
THose headlights are not blue tinted they are gunmetal housing lights similar to the ones that i have. If you look closly the pic of tyhose lights was taken outdoors under a BLUE sky hence the blue tint then chopped to sell in the ad you see before you. You can get those lights on ebay or you can HEAT up the light using an oven, blowdryer, heat gun etc. and pull them apart then remove the amber lens. If you wish to add a small blue tinit to the headlights you can do so with a LIGHT coat of blue on the inside.
