DIY: Connecting your Halo/Angel eye
This one is for the n00bs. Hopefully you got to the point where you removed the front bumper, removed the stock lamps, and plugged everything in properly.
What to do with the extra red and white wire?
Well, here is what I did:
Materials needed:
4 Scotch Cable locks (Scotch Locks)
2 X3racing (Matrix style) Halo/angeleye projectors, duh
1 Hot Wire tester (available at Radio shack i think)
1. Well, assuming that you connected (and DOUBLE CHECKED) the Low beam, High beam, and parking lights, we need the cable that the little round parking light bulb that is not used in the projector went to. Hopefully you did not bolt your headlight back in.
2. Turn on you headlights, or just the parking lights if you want, and using the Wire Tester insert the tip of it into each hole and find out which is hot (positive) and which is negative.
3. Once you find out which is hot and which one is ground, you cut off the plastic tip for the harness so you have just the wires left coming from the car, not the plastic dongle.
4. Use the scotch locks on all 4 wires (2 on the left side and 2 on the right) and hopefully you know how to use them, if not then you shouldn't be installing headlights, becuase they are REALLY easy and self-explanitory.
5. If you do it this way, you have just enough wire to hook them up this way. It is a really simple way to hook them up. the Scotch locks are a breeze to use. To see what I am talking about see below

They are the first few items pictured on that page.. They just snap shut connecting the 2 wires.
I hope this may have cleared up any confusion on connecting these.

Well what you can do is cut the harness off and leave an inch or two on the harness pat so you can re-attach. OR if you do not want to cut at all try using the scotch locks without cutting it off at all.
xgodxicex: You dont HAVE to cut anything if you are afraid to damage anything or just dont want to. Another thing you can do is ground the halo, and run the red (positive) wire to the under hood fuse box and run it to the parking light fuse. Your choice

my dealership did it for me.. they had female connectors run into my harness(way into the harness.. like i dun even wanna bother traceing the end of it) and the male connectors crimped and soldered onto the projector wires.. so it was my choich to plug it in or not
if you have the female connectors, then that is a good way to do it but i was doing it at home where that was not available. i has scotch locks, so i introduced this method of connecting the halo
Hey pretty new here...first post!
I have a 2k2 EX Coupe, and got a set of projectors a couple weeks ago. I went with blue halos though, because at night they look sick. The problem is that blue lights on your car of any kind are illegal, so I wanted to be able to control them completely independantly of the parking lights. I used crimps to essentially lengthen the red wires of each halo, and used a T-crimp to connect the two. I ran a single wire piggy backed along any convenient harness, and punched it through the firewall on the passenger side. I then tapped a power source from my head unit's harness, just in case I forget to turn them off when I turn the key off, they're overridden and turned off. I wired up a little green LED switch, which I mounted between the cig lighter and the removable accessory blocks. It looks clean and stock as hell, which is the look I wanted. I'll get some pics for your guys later. Hope that helps!
