Valve cover difference

Are all the SOHC D17 valve covers the same? I have an EX will a LX or DX valve cover be interchangble?

are you talking about valve cover...or teh coil pack cover?

some people mistaken those 2

teh actual valve cover that bolts on to the block of the motor.

it's actually called a cylinder head cover.. but valve cover is known too... it's the same, same part number also.. the only diffence is in a LX thehere is a cap where the vtec solinoid pump is

I want to replace my valve covers with one of those cool aftermarket ones ive seen on here, but i cant find any. I only find ones for 6th generation civics. Where can i find ones for 7th generation civics?

how did you remove the cylinder headb cover? i tried unbolting it last week but some of the bolts did not come out. was it hard to remove?

Some of the bolts are on there pretty tight and you might need a breaker bar to remove them. Also remember that there is a gasket under there that might be tough to get off too.

i was able to loosen the bolts fine, but some of them wouldnt come out once loosened. i dont know what to do.

there currently isnt one available for the 7thgen

Well I've seen lots of Valve covers at CarDomain for the 2001+ civic, I've seen some really cool red ones. People are getting them from somewhere

wouldnt it be a valve cover, its the gasket that goes with it is a valve cover gasket and covers the valves?

I just pulled real hard and they came out. I ended up have to buy new a rubber washer because it got cut pulling it out. no biggie
