Custom Catback
Custom Catback
Hey sup this is Fayd. I have some questions concerning a custom catback system. if i do not buy a pre maid kit that runs to the cat, would i run into any problems (i.e. O2 sensors or a loss in horse power do to a certain quirky stock set up. if i would not run into any snags what muffler would any of you guys recommend, i have a tip picked out dual tip pacesetter, i was wonder about mufflers alone. and i guess the last and most newbie question would be if anyone has a custom catback, do you like the sound.
any and all help would be great

You shouldn't have any problems with custom cat-backs unless the case is cheap piping = rusting after awhile. You're not going to gain that much horsepower either. Some say you will lose low end, and gain high end. The sound depends on your muffler also, so I don't know how the pacesetter sounds. How much are you getting the muffler for, and have any pictures?
I'm not really into exhausts b/c:
1. Every friggin other car is a ricer with an annoying muffler in San Diego
2. You're not going to gain that much power
3. Like I said, if you live in San Diego, you wouldn't want one either...
I'm just gonna add a muffler for looks (hopefully one that is resonated so it wont make any noise). I'm going for the dual tip look also, so lemme know about the pacesetter.
Guys are gonna tell you to go TANABE all the way, or get the N1 muffler, or go Greddy. So its all your personal preference. I say get custom piping and stick with the idea that you have.
Oh yeah, and next time try the "SEARCH" button. People on this site are critical about that... haha
