Well i just installed my Injen CAI in my 02 Ex and it sounds great!!
Anyways now that i have it installed, i have a question. When i put in the uper pipe i had to pass it betewn two hose (might be fuel lines or something i'm not sure) My questions is would i need some protection for those two hose because one of them sit's on the CAI pipe and the other hose rest under the CAI pipe. Could the heat of the pipe damage those two hose??

Actually I like the AEM, but it's all about preference, the difference between the two is almost non-existant. I tried them both.
The pipe shouldn't get hot since it's coated and designed to direct cold air straight into the throttle body without passing through the whole maze of filter boxes the OEM system uses. You should be fine.

You can fry an egg on that pipe if you drive for an hour or so when its 80 degrees out side. Aluminum is a big heat sink, and polishing it just makes it worse. I would recommend getting insulation tape and wrapping it around the lines where they touch the pipe... I've melted indentations in the rubber cuz it rests on the intake. Theres a plastic hose inside the fuel line, but wrap it just to be on the safe side.
Drive around for a while then touch the intake pipe... its quite toasty.

Weird, my AEM never gets that warm. Isn't the Injen just straight up stainless steel looking aluminum? 80 degrees F to celcius would be.....damn...okay, still I have never had my pipe get that hot. I'll check when I head to Montreal this weekend...That's about an hour and a half drive.
