AEM intake vs V2 intake

Is the new AEM V2 much better then the old one? Would it be worth getting and can you install a bypass valve on it?

SlammedBlueEM2 is on a distinguished road
No.

An intake is a pipe with an air filter on it. All of them are the same. AEM is just trying to get consumers to pay more for something supposedly new when there's nothing hard to understand about how an intake sucks in air. It's all the same. V2 is just AEM hype. Just buy anything else but be more concerned about the quality of the air filter you put on it.

If you want performance from your intake the answer is new intake manifold.

He's right. The AEM V2 is all about ripping you off. AEM makes some good intakes, but the difference between the regular AEM and the V2 is definately inconsiderable. Go with regular AEM cold air, or Injen Cold Air.
