Has anyone removed their gauge cluster and possibly have pictures of it? its really important if anyone has removed it before pleasse let me know and if u have a picture then that would be great, i just wanna see it and i wanna know how to remove the gauge cluster, i already know that there are 2 screws to start with, but then what? thanks guys!
are you trying to install indiglos or something? have you taken off the plastic that holds the gauges in? they are held down by snaps in the rear and sides of the cluster, they just slid underneath the snap to remove the plastic cover. i am expecting a bezel gauge cover sometime today or tomorrow, i will take pics of the installation if you need them.

it really easy, just remove the two screw on top, and use a lil force to pull out the plastic cuz it hold on with tape also, dont pull to hard because you might break it, and remove the screws holding the cluster, simple as that, less than a 5min job
ok but are the wires lose? like i used to have a 93 civic coupe, and i removed it, and the wires were too tight and u couldn't pull the cluster out, coz u had to unplug all the wires going to the cluster first, and they couldnt be reached becuase of how tight and short the wires were!
there only 2 plugs, it a green plug and i forgot what the other color was, which are located on the top of the cluster
ok... we start by removing the two screws on the black plastic part.
Next...we pry off the black plastic piece
Next...we take out the 3 screws that hold the gauge pod in place.
Next...we pull the gauge pod toward us, realizing that there are two sets of wires. One if green, the other is blue. You push in the little release mechanism and they both come out easily.
Voila. You now have the gauge cluster sitting in your hand. All you have to do now is push in on the little clips to first remove the plastic clear cover, then once again push in the little clips for the black plastic protector piece.
A very simple process.
Next...we pry off the black plastic piece

but how is there only 2 wires?

If it is anything like the gauge cluster in my 98 civ then it would be easy ......... for me. Not so much for you though. Just kidding. After those 2 screws I think that there are only clips holding it in. Lower your steering wheel, pull on the cluster and viola it should pop out. be careful with the needles though they break easily.

i cant get it off, i unscrewed the two screws at the top, but its so stiff, i cant pull it off, i feel like im gonna break it if I pull too hard ???

dude just yank on that, really hard you cant break it and grab it towards the top, and on a side and just pull hella hard, itll come loose. you cant break anything because its really flexible. havent heard of anyone breaking theirs yet...
OK here is what you do, reach down your pants and check to see if you still have a set. If you do then be a man and give it a little tug, if you cant complete that part of the DIY then I suggest you take it to a shop because its gonna get ugly. Dont be so scared of putting a little elbow greese into it worst that happens is that it breaks and I have never ever seen one break.

I got it out already...i just got pissed and im just like **** it, its coming out! and i yanked and it came out! and for your information guys, if it does happen to break, honda will not let you buy just that piece, you have to buy the entire gauge cluster...which will run you a couple hundred bucks! so be careful how HARD you pulL

WRONG, I don't know who you spoke to at Honda, because they're an idiot. You can buy just the gauge bezel (the black piece in front of the gauges you just yanked out). I know this because I bought 2 of them from my Honda dealership (about $10 total), since I didn't like my initial color that I painted on my original, the other is just a backup. FYI, when talking to the Honda dealer parts dept. have them show you the screen they're looking at in the computer which shows all the parts in a graphical format and have them print it out. That way you can see for sure and show them exactly which part you want. Most of the time they can't understand what you want or just don't want to. I had my dealership print out every part sheet for my 2001 Civic except some stuff in the engine, so I can show them everytime which part w/ part# I need. You are correct though, the gauges itself and all parts included must be bought whole. This includes needles, trip meter, gauge face and clips, but not the plastic and black coverings or bezel as they can each be bought separately.Originally posted by slammed2k2

FYI, if anybody needs gauge bezels since they somehow broke theirs, I have about 3 extras. Note they are painted silver and paint job is pretty bad as they are my test paint runs.
From what i've read everything in this post is 100% most honda's and older acura's will have two screws and a bit of pulling force. Similar to tail lights most cluster are one or two pre-wired harnesses. Just two side notes, alternatively if you do break it I got a replacement for my Integra when I cracked it for about $10 on ebay. Secondly the chance of it happening is about 0.001% but it's best to disconnect the battery terminals for at least 3 minutes prior to beginning. According to the haynes manual you could possibly trigger the air bag while your face is infront of it.
