Altezza grill question

Hi guys, I have just installed my altezza grill. Since the stock radiator doesn't fit (mine is a coupe), so there is a gap b/w the hood and the grill(I can put a finger in it). Does this do any bad for my car??? And is there anyway to cover that gap???

Actually I know the sedan one would fit, but I guess the gap would still be there....not really I can put a finger in it, but I can see the gap in front. Or am I wrong???

Do you mean even with the sedan radiator cover installed in place of the coupe cover, there will still be a gap left?

I think he meant there is a gap between the top part of the grill and the front part of the hood. I don't think he was talking about the part that covers the radiator.

No no, but with the coupe radiator cover there is a gap when you install the grill, since it's meant to be put on a sedan's radiator cover, but I'm trying to find out if he means even with the sedan cover installed on the coupe if there is still a gap between the hood and the grill (confusing I know)

Oh I see. I get what you're saying now. I wish I got my grill painted so I can install it already and let you guys know if there is still a gap with the sedan radiator cover on.

I have a coupe....with altezza grill, and sedan radiator cover. The cover cost me 16 bucks at my local honda dealer. If you stand back from the car, it looks like there might be a small gap. But nothing that you could put your finger through. The sedan radiator cover hooks up perfectly with the grill. Its pretty cool.

Sure! Haha!

I'm confused. I mean, isn't there a gap between the top of the stock grill (2dr/4dr) and the hood? I would think it's normal if there's a gap between the Altezza grill and the hood. Right? Jus askin.

Man, I think I'm the only one that paid the most for the 4dr radiator cover... $19. Oh well.

I believe the gap would still be there even with the 4dr radiator cover on. You would have to add something else to the top of the grill to close the gap.

BTW, you're talking about the gap between the top of the Altezza grill and the front part of the hood, right? And not the gap above the radiator, right? I just want to make that clear.

Yes that's right I'm pretty sure, the gap between the top of the grill and the hood, because from my understanding there is still an abnormal gap even with the sedan cover.

This is the best picture I know of that shows the gap. I hope I don't get in trouble for using this as an example, but this is DC5@EM2's car pictured in Hondawerx.com. The last picture shows the Altezza grill and the gap... I think. If that's what you're talking about, then yes, I believe there will still be that gap even with the sedan radiator cover.

Oh ok, it's not that bad, and it won't be noticeable on a black car I wouldn't think.

That's the gap I was talkign about.
I wonder would it affect the radiator if sth (like water) ran into the radiator from the grill?

Guys!!! Look at your factory grill!!! There's a gap with it too, but you don't notice it as much because of the H in the middle and the crodd bar going accross...How do you think you get to your hood latch?? ...You guess't it.....the gap!!!

that gap isnt really a gap. it is only there because the altezza grill sits further back than the stock grill. it is recessed, so you see a "gap". what color is your car? it is alot less noticeable on NBP cars. check out my ride for a close up of the grill.

Don't worry to much about the gap. Afther a few weeks of installing mine I didn't bother me at all. Now I think it looks kind of cool.

Just give it time and you'll get use to it.

Yeah that's the gap I'm talking about, and yeah it isn't as bad as I thought, plus I'll be getting a black car, so it won't be that noticeable.
