Opening Up Alteeza Tail Lights

Ok, I have black spray paint, primer and clear coat. I want to open up my alteezas and paint all of the silver part. My most important question is, how do you open up the tail lights in the first place? Second, does anyone have any tips on how to paint the silver part of the alteezas?

i am geuss u take it off the same way u would do with a head light..... put it in the oven and such read the clearign head light diy. and when i blacked out my friends accord headlights i just used some high temp paint and spray painted it. but on the conors and edges sometimes u get a lil silver that shows through so i just painted it iwht a couple of layers and it was set. ps the reason why i used high temp paint was because i figured the bulbs made the thing get hot so i figured he way not.

I know when Rider painted his altezzas, he submerged the tailights in hot water in his bathtub and pulled them apart. I wouldn't think high temperature paint would be as nessecary for tailights as it is for headlights, since the tailights don't run as hot as the headlights. However, high temp paint won't hurt anything.

Yea, I have a black car with black angel eye projectors, and I just painted the H on the front grill and the H on the trunk (black) and I also painted the silver trim on the hood black, now I want to paint the silver trim piece that houses the license plate lights (black) and paint the silver part of my alteezas black. I was going to paint the silver trim piece on the trunk but I couldn't figure out how to take the piece off (I saw the white pieces and I was able to almost pull it out but it was stuck on something) so I decided to wait until I knew how to open up the lights.

Wouldn't putting the tails in hot water warp them though?

I looked at the tails, and I don't want to ruin the silver plastic with a screwdriver, so I am trying to figure out how I can get them open. Any more ideas?
