Question back pressure with header??

Hey i recently purchased the Kamikaze header for 02 LX. I was talking to my friend who does a lot of engine work and he said the header might be bad for my engine. Since the Kamikaze has no cat it flow more freely. And with a "fart pipe" or cat-back (haha ) he said there would be little back pressure. With the removal of the cat and a more free-flowing exhaust he said i could burn up the valves in the engine because of reduced back pressure. What do you guys think???

No backpressure is definitely bad. But i'd imagine there is still enough backpressure in your exhaust system to prevent problems. Also if you are flowing more air in (through an intake) it should be OK. How much bigger are the primaries than stock- that will be the determining factor (i haven't seen a Kamikaze header)?

I'll have to get some specs up on the header itself. But keep the replies coming. I figured with the cat-back there would still be back pressure. WHat about those hi-flow cats on ebay?? I could bolt that in there between the header and the cat-back.
