Airbags...
Anybody know off hand if the airbags or SRS are controlled by the ECU, or if they have their own separate computer? I'm thinking separate computers because a lot of cars have a separate box that controls it, but I haven't seen any manuals for our cars yet to know. Thanks.

The airbags, seat belt tensioners, seat belt buckle tensioners, sensors and side airbags are controlled by a dedicated computer, all the way forward under the center console.

That's what I thought. Thanks. I just wanted to make sure I don't lose any safety factors if I swap the ECU for an EMS.
