Rep Power: 0 Holes in OEM floor mats
does any of your civic's carpet mats wear out a lot wear your feet are? On my right foot, there is a quarter sized hole that is worn almost through the whole mat. I am buying new matts anyways because I slowly want to start converting my interior over to black instead of tan. So, I wanted to know if you guys have any ideas to prevent this from happening. The only two things I really thought of that I might do is...
1. Get a tougher, small square of carpet and sew it right where your heels touch the carpet. (Saw this on an M3 that I detailed...I think it may have been stock though )
2. Or, get a small square of diamiond plate and anodize it black. Maybe find some way to drill holes in it attach it somehow. <---maybe kind of riceish, but it functional!
any opinions welcome!

Rep Power: 291 I saw some very cool looking replacement floormats at Mats.com. The site is down now, or I'd link a pic. The ones I like aren't just flat, they actually form to the floor and have reinforced heel pads like you want. Anyway, when it comes up later, I'll post a link/pic. I think they're $99, but they look worth the money.

Rep Power: 400 EVERY floormat will wear out where your right foot rests. That's what happens when you grind your heel into the mat day after day. It happens in every single car. MOMO just came out with new mats, I think they're called T2000, that have alumium plates where your foot rests. The thicker carpet patch will last longer, but not forever. If you don't want the wear, then you'll have to get metal plates of somekind.

Rep Power: 335 Yah that happens. I have the Neuspeed floor mats and I have an identation forming. Get diamond plate or an aftermarket rubber mat and have someone sow it on or make some holes in the plate or rubber and use a pop rivit gun to hold the two together. The pop rivit guns are cheap and most sets come with the different size rivits.

Rep Power: 340 I have a white towell on my floor mat. Hell, for $75, they're not getting any mud or dirt or anything else on them. The only time my floor is not covered is when I take a girl out of something and everything has to look real nice. Even with the towell though, I have wear there.

Rep Power: 291 Evidently mats.com doesn't carry the ones I refered to anymore. I did find an alternative here. These mats look very similar to them, but I think they're for SUVs.
