Mtec 4x or 2x?
So the 4x is 90/100 and 2x is 60/55. Which one should I get? People keep saying that higher voltage will burn the harness and blow the bulb faster. What's the deal?
what's the 4x and 2x mean? well, all i know is that if you're talking about headlight bulbs, you should either stick to stock wattage (60/55) or buy a harness that can handle more. people have gone 100/90 without messing anything up, but it's not really worth risking it...

the 4x and 2x are the two types of mtec bulbs you can buy. 2times the power of stock vs. 4 times the power of stock. All I know is the voltage is different. So can anyone who runs 4x bulbs confirm that it doesn't blow or burn your wires?

So a bunch of people keep telling me that I should get the 4x instead cause they are brighter. Also, the mtecs even with higher voltage won't burn the wiring harness. Is there anyone on ths board running 4x mtecs with default wiring that can confirm this?

I agree, you should get the 4x because they're brighter, but in a month you'll melt your harness. brand name doesnt matter, if it's a higher wattage it will melt your harness in a matter of time. what sources do you have?
