header help

I just installed my new DC Sports header on Friday and now everytime I start my car the maintenance required light blinks on and off a few times . Also my car just hit 8000 miles....so I really don't know if the header did something or if it is because of the milage. Someone plese help.

if it's the maintenance light that blinks on and off, its just telling you that you should have your oil changed by now, and should have rotated the tires, and all that other usual maintenance stuff. To find out what all exactly just look under the scheduled maintenance in your owners manuel. As for the light itself you can turn it off by holding in the reset button on the dash. There are step by step instructions how to turn the light off in the manuel. It will come on if you change your own oil or have use a body shop other than the honda dealership, b/c most of them don't know to turn it off nor care.

I have DC headers as well and never had any problems with those. If it says "check engine" then its a totally different problem. I just got that light the other day, and the manuel says it has something to do with the emissions system, but i'm still not sure what it is. If you can't figure it out let me know and i'll give you step by step instructions

LMAO!!! FOr those of you who don't know, I helped EEN install his DC Header. Don't worry Ian. Your new header did not cause the engine maintenance light to turn on. If anything it would have caused the "Check Engine" light to turn on. If you have hit 8000 miles then that is the cause of your Engine Maintenance light.
