For those with an RSX rear sway and aftermarket exhaust...
If your aftermarket exhaust system is rattling against your RSX (or Progress) rear sway bar, how did you fix it? I haven't had time to look at it yet, but I'm thinking about wrapping the bar with something to eliminate the metal-on-metal rattling sound I occasionally get now. I really don't want to give up the RSX bar.

I haven't fixed it yet, but I probably will. Mine only rattles occasionally and usually in the rain (i know it is odd, but hey). I will probably out some sort of rubber spacer between the two eventually, when i have the time.

well, you can do two things, heat the hangers on the exhaust and bend them towards the muffler more, this will pull the muffler up and away from the bar, just tont bend them too far or youll melt your bumper, you could also buy some rubber hangers that are maybe 1/4-1/2 inch shorter than your factory ones, this will do the same thing and is easier, not sure what im gonna do yet, mine rattles, 70% of the time when at idle, other than that it mainly rattles at around 3000 rpm, which is annoying @ 60 in a 5speed EX

i have DC TCS w/ RSX type-s sway bar, the rattle only occurs when its cold outside. i'm getting mine fix this friday. i did put some rubber/heat shield around the sway bar, but not working. everytime when someone sits passenger rear, rattles come on.
EternalVTEC is right. i'm getting my fix by bending my hangers but not too much otherwise, like he said, my bumper will start melting. will let u know how it goes. need a shop to do it, since i cant generate enough heat to bend the hangers

Wrap a the section of the RSX sway bat with fatmat or dynamat.
I have 'custom' 2.25" piping and it doesn't hit the sway bar...

I dont have much clearance to adjust the muffler because of the big stupid tip on my muffler. I'm going to try finding some sort of sound deadening material to put on the bar that won't be affected by the elements and won't get worn down by the occasional contact.

Well this is how it went for me:
Used 19mm RSX anti-sway bar w/ bushings: $50
Progress 22mm + tie bar combo : $200
Obvious choice..

Yeah, I only noticed it when it was cold outside. I haven't driven the car in a few weeks, but the day I got my exhaust put on it was warm outside, and then in typcal Cleveland fashion, it was 30 and snowing out the next day. That's when I noticed it, and it seemed like it went away after the engine warmed up a bit. I'll play with it a little bit next weekend. I'll probably try the exhaust wrap first, as it's designed to take the high heat conditions, and I'll go from there.
