removing paint

I painted some of my trim pieces, but now the paint is chipping off. I heard that using paint thinner will eat away at the plastic. Does anyone know alternative way of removing the paint so i can repaint it. thanks

Basically just wet sand it off. And then use a fine grain sand paper at the end to make it smooth.

Boilermaker1 is a splendid one to behold

There is a product for stripping paint of plastic models called ELO. I can't remember who makes it, but any well stocked hobby shop should have it or some other plastic-safe stripper.
