FYI tinting is on the inside of the window so I don't think it would hurt reception....[hr]

My reception on on my radio was fine. UNTIL, I got my windows tinted. And now the radio picks up reception fine, until I turn on the defrost, then everything just gets a lot of distortion.
So it is possible to be window tint.[hr]

I bet the reason your reception is bad when you turn on your defroster is because the tint shop probably cut the defrost wire or antenna wire. The wire probably isn't cut all the way through but enough to short out your antenna. Window tint isn't the cause of your problems, I bet it was the install. My antenna works fine with window tint and the defrost on.[hr]
