me and kenshin are over here and we are about to install apc glow gauges for his 2002 ex 5 speed. what power source do we use also where do we connect the black wire? . asap please

blackwire is for ground
red is for power

Pull hard on the black thing after you take off the top two screws. The rest unscrews. I tried grounding my wire where civicvtec1ps did, but sometimes it doesn't work. I ran the red wire to the ignition fuse so they come on when the car comes on. The black wire I ran to the side of the dash, under that triangular piece next to the vent near the door. There is a screw under there that my stuff is grounded to. I wish I could take pics for ya but my car is buried in snow.

we are going to end up doing later on in the week we dont want to break that peice of plastic. we have heard it takes about a hour and we did not have that kind of time today.but tips are still needed

find a red wire, slice it and tap it there. black one ground it. do it slowly, take ur time, dont rush it...and u'll get through it just fine

Use the red with black stripe, otherwise yo'll have weird problems with the dimmer....

the easiest way i found to do it is to take two small computer flat head screw drivers and stick them underneath on both sides of the black piece. This requires two people. One person to hold the screw drivers in place and then one to pull from the top. It will pop out if you pull hard enough, and it shouldn't break.
