Custom Interior Question???

alright, i had an idea today, and was wondering how it'd look etc, and was also looking for suggestions...
i was thinking about redoing my trim pieces, but custom making the out of aluminum, and having it brushed and anodized once they are finished... but was wondering how i'd install it without cracking the exieting plastic and not making it look like shieot... i first thought about pop rivoting it but, won't that crack the plastic? this may be a shieotty idea, but i thought it'd look better than the metal look trim that you can get from honda, etc... such as i have... anyways, any thoughts/suggestions are welcome.. i also have access to a CNC machine, so i can make the cuts smooth and all... what do you all think???

whoops, forgot one thing, could i also make the guts(didn't know what their technical term was, the things that adjust the direction of the air flow) for the vents out of aluminum and still have them function correctly?

Just buy the a aluminium trim set that sticks right over the pieces. It'll cost you a little over 100 but it was worth it for me. You don't have to take anything out and plus they are made not to crack and can withstand the heat and the cold. Plus it'll save you many hours!

i have the metal look trim, but i don't like it, its not custom, as the setup i mentioned is, its gonna be real aluminum, gonna buy sheeting for some of the parts, and some will be milled out of aluminum
