Help with Intake

Hey guys. I just recived my AEM SRI fomr adventon.com and had already taken the stock air filter and everything off to put my intake in. As I'm putting the 2.5" piping onto the 2.75" piping I realize I dont have the part to connect them. It was missing from my package or something and now I have to wait on a new one to come, but AEM will NOT overnight or 2nd day it!!!!! ANy ideas on how to rig this up? Right now, Im using ducktape, yes ductape. HELP, Am i missing something???

Oh yeah- which way is the AEM sticker on the intake itself supposed to be facing? I thought it would be facing so you can read it when you open the hood but NOT mine, I think its backwards!!

Thanks

I suggest putting the filter on the piping you have untill you can get the rubber connector. This way you can atleast drive it. I thought SRI's only had one pipe and a filter? If it's a CAI (2 pipes and a filter) then just use it as a SRI. good luck.

You can still run your car without the filter.

Just pull a long *** tube sock over it and secure it
with some rubber bands

When you open your hood you should see the AEM decal and when you look at it, it should read AEM in that order from left to right. The right way. If its not that way you might have gotten a buddy boy intake system and got scammed. Also if your missing a rubber mount because AEM seals there boxes. Maybe that company or site opened it up and messed around or maybe it was a returned item. Sorry, man, that sucks.

go to a hardware store to the plumbing section, buy a few inches of wire reinforced rubber tubing and pipe clamps, that may even work better than aems version. just my two cents..

Yeah, i definately didn't have that piece, adventon contacted AEM and they are shipping the part ASAP. I dont think I got scammed on the AEM SRI but AEM is upside down. what do i do now?

even though the aem is upside down if everything is connected it shouldn't matter and should still work. Also like skipbarbe said go get a rubber connector from a hardware store.
