if there isn't an inset place to mount it you may have to drill some holes or you could just try not to get caught....

i have the full xenon kit. i put my plate infront of the grill (chicken wire) and zip tied it on. then, like two days later it was stolen. but i've never had a problem with the cops about it.

you could always set it up in your inner windshield coner, a lot ofpeople do that here in Houston and as long as the cops can see it its ok, i took mine off and had the lic plate area reapinted and covered so no holes

On the octane kit i've seen it mounted just below the upper portion in the "mouth" area (or more liek the upper lip. If you can bracket it on there some how it looks real nice

I live in California and we are supposed to have one but of course I did not put it on. Yet to have a problem and I drive in a lot of cities that crawl with cops looking for someone to bust, and I have not had any problems. I would not worry about it.

I'm in Cali too and no problems yet. If they pulled you over in my city, they just give you a warning so i keep my front plate in the trunk.
Why don't you try putting on top of the dash (below front windshield)?

go without...i live in NY as well, you can usually talk your way out of it, just say it fell off. The tickets aren't too expensive anyhow...and license plates on the front of cars look very stupid
