Has any1 here have ever paint their civic byyourself?? I juz would like to knoe what is the best combination to get the closest paint as thenighthawk black paint. What do u use to paint?? Thanx...

I painted my RS grill Nighthawk black myself.

All you need is:
An air compressor
Gravity fed paint sprayer (siphon fed is o.k. but gravity fed is better)
Paint (code is on drives side when you open the door)

N as far as the paint you can do two routes.
Easy one first
Paint top coat mixed 5 to 1 to 1 (Paint / Hardener / Reducer)
Spray 2 coats and your good.

Hard Way
Base coat top coat clear coat.
It's a pain to do

I suggest the easy way first..

Im juz want to paint my fender.....it came in black metal which is ready to paint....but does it look ok if it is not painted and install on the civic???

DO NOT paint it yourself unless you have experience and proper tools. just some advice.

hmmm....thanx guys for the advice...so does anybody here from bay area, california??? I would like to knoe where is a good but low cost body shop to paint my fender....

yea dont do it urself, just the fenderz...get the shop to do it...wont cost too much[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]
