Auto to Manual Conversion

I've searched around and found some posts about this but not too much info.

I have a 2001 EX auto and want to convert it to a manual. Does anyone know about how much the price would be on this and which parts, besides the obvious, would need to be change like the gauge cluster? And do you think the dealer would be able to do this at all since it'll be all OEM parts?

Thanks

Just trade the car in for a manual. It would be easier in the long run and probably cheaper.

If u take it to the dealer the install alone would be well over 1000 plus the dealer will prolly charge you a good 6g for parts ur better off trading ur car in. Unless u have a hook up and can find all the parts and install them yourself your not going to have much luck.

Unless ur car is hardcore modded there is no point. Autos are worth more, so you could probably do a straight up trade for a manual civic of the same year

Thanks for the help. I guess I'll be looking around for a trade, then gotta put all the work into making it stock again. I wanted a manual when i bought this one, but the only way I was gonna be able to get it was during the year end clearance seeing how my dad was helping me pay for it. Just so happened that the only cars they had left for 2001 were all autos. I got such a good deal during that clearance that it would have been a couple thousand more to wait for a 2002 manual
