Its normal
RTFM = Read the F'ing manual.
It tells you in there.
Turn OFF engine
Press and hold select/reset button in the instrument panl. then turn the ignition switch ON
hold the button until the indicator resets (aprox. 10 secs)

I just did it and it worked for me
In case you are too lazy to read your manual, like I am, the maintenance required light starts blinking more and more as you approach the recommended service times (i.e. 20,000 miles, 30,000 miles) and after you pass it by a couple hundred miles it will just stay on. Honda resets it for you, or if you do your maintenance/tune-ups yourself, then you can reset it the way FlyRiceRacer said
it is just a dummy light on a timer with your odometer. It comes on every 10,000. just a way for them to sucker you into preventative maintenance charges. the first time mine came on I paid 122.00 for them to rotate my tires and change my oil. The oil in the car was replaced 250 miles before i brought it to them. I guess the high paid honda tech didnt see the brand new lube stop sticker. My tires had just been replaced with 17 in yokohamas less than 1000 miles ago. I thought i had a very good dealership until this. I was outraged and would not take my car back for free oil changes. Be careful, some people are only worried about money these days.
