Painting Interior and Needs help ASAP

Alright, i finally got around to get all the stuff i need to paint my interior the way i want it. And i remember reading a month ago that the way to get the A/C vents on the left and right side is to take a screwdriver cover it with a towel and just pry them things off. Well i struggled with that for an hour, and i give up. Is there an easier way to do this, is it possible that the pieces are glued so i have to maybe use a hair dryer to heat the glue up then pull them out. I need some info here please. Cause i plan on stayin home and gettin at least half my interior done.

Alright i got a hold of one of my friends and he helped me remove the A/C vents and as we speak they are drying from being primered. I only had a problem with removing the console around the cd player. I did pull off the ***** and i removed the trim piece around the cigarette lighter. And all i saw were 2 screws no brackets. Am i supposed to remove those 2 screws? I don't know, i'm lost

Alright cool, i thought i was supposed to take those out, but i wasn't sure. I'll end up doin that part of the interior started tomorrow then. Well i'll take some pics of my finished product and hopefully in a week or so. I'll post them and show off my fresh interior. And also i am gonna put a shift boot around my new ichibahn shifter. So yea i'll have updates when i'm complete.
