Connecting iPod to stock HU
Anyone know if there is a way to connect something like an iPod to the stock HU without using FM transmitter?
I just want to connect a line from the headphone jack on the iPod to the HU without using a radio transmitter. So if anyone know if it's possible to do this, please let me know.

Yes, the iPod is an Mp3 Player and yes Apple makes them. It is a firewire hard drive that holds 20GB, that's 4,000 songs (about 200+ full CDs) or whatever else you want to put on it since it's a firewire hard drive.
I just want to know if there is something like a line in on the back of the stock HU so that I could connect a wire from the iPod's headphone out to the HU. If not, then is there a way to wire a connection.

iPod is made by Apple, it works on Mac's & PC's, and it pretty much owns every other MP3 player out there ( but I love Macs so what do I know).

I do not think that there is a direct plug-in for the stock head unit.

Also, to those who on Macs, I own two PeeCee's and one PowerMac G4 with a Flat Screen Studio Display. One of the PeeCee's is a 2.24Mhz P4 which I have just built a couple months ago and loaded with high end everything from graphic cards to sh*t loads of RAM and what not, and all I can say is that my one and a half year old 867Mhz G4 Ownz them all. It is much faster, more reliable, and the best part... whenever I get a new toy, i.e. digital cam, iPod, etc. All I have to do is plug it in and be on my way, no drivers, no nothing.
Now before the flame starts... I'm not saying that I dislike PeeCees or that I think they're . I know that everyone has different opions about what they like or dislike base on their personal experiences, research or whatever. With that said, my reason for saying that Mac ownz is becuase I have been building and using PeeCee's for about 6 years and have two of them around the house. When I got a Mac, I kicked myself for not going with Mac for those 6 years instead of PeeCee's. Everything is so simple and problem free with Apple, and one of my friend who thinks there is nothing better than a PeeCee and would likely take his to his grave literally wanted to go out a get a Mac after being on my computer for about 5 min. PeeCees are good machines if not great, but everything flows together smoothly with no flaws on a Mac, from hardware to software down to the accessories. Given that Macintosh is lacking in some departments such as games and what not, what they do have is good and it works.
Apple makes superior hardware and software, but it's too damn expensive. I own both, and all I use the AMD box for is video games.
I'll take a G4 w/ OS X.2 any day over an x86 w/ anything (save Linux).

I have my iPod hooked up to my Alpine 7893 with an AiNet adapter....I don't think it's possible to hook it up to the stock HU....you would probably be best off PMing Mohawkboom....he will tell you what you need to do it if it's possible...

The only thing I can think of is to hack into the cd aux input in back of the stock hu. The only connectors for the stock hu I know of cost about $30-$50....not worth it. If your trying to avoid FM modulator for quality reasons, dump the stock HU other wise get the modulator.
The I pod is like a pretty good cheap MP3 cause certain other players dont even have half the memory of the I pod and charge like 600 bucks for it. And it doesnt look like theres a way to connect it to the HU
