I love the fact that 1028CiViC is a Post Master General and can barely speak English.
Anyway, no. Nobody has done it yet. Well, that is you install a Jet ECU. I think that does the trick...

This might sound a bit off but what would happen hypothetically if one disconnected the speed sensor? Think the car would run in some kind of default mode? This might have been discussed before so I apoligize for a possible repeat question.

Speed sensor? Hehe... That'de be kinda k3wl to have actually... I think the ECU calculates the speed based on the rpm's. You can't really disconnect anything to change that. You just have to re-program the ECU. Yeah, just. Hehe... Hopefully someone will come out with a low cost solution for re-programming our stock ECU's.

So is it really a speed limiter or is it more of a RPM limiter so that you don't fry the engine?

so the rev limiter is around 7100? ive had mine revved to 7 before, nothing happened. and on an interstate trip i hit 125...it seemed like it had a little left in her but i dont think it was all that great to be running the motor at 6 grand for 15 seconds, so i got off it. i dont think the car has much ***** to go any faster. i wish the car had more top end, cause my buddy will start to walk me in his avenger on the top end

So because you increased the size of your wheels you can only hit 113 instead of 117. If you make the diameter smaller, could you end up getting to a higher speed?
Thanks for the info.

To add more and probably contradict myself... vehicle speed sensors on other Honda's as well as other manufacturer's are found in the transmission, so I guess it would read off of the axle (so why would the speedometer read a different speed with a change in wheel size ) Also, I read that VTEC doesn't work properly in the absence of a speed sensor. And I also read that one of the things that CVT is based on is the reading from the vehicle speed sensor.

I agree, but isn't a speed limiter required by law or something?
