Rep Power: 394 Yes, front strut bar? Rear strut bar? Also, which brand? You could try searching the forums though, I'm sure there's a ton of information on this subject...

Rep Power: 0 prob. front upper.......And it's extremely easy.........
I don't knwo which one you have......but you just take off prob. 2 of the three strut bolts......
pop the bar on (you might have to jack up one side of the car) and tighten........
all in all, probably takes 10 minutes.....

Rep Power: 0 Look at the pic of my car in member's rides, you can see where it is put on. . . there is 3 bolts on each side that you take off, then you put the bar on and bolt it back together. . . I can't remember the proper torque but that's all you gotta do.

Rep Power: 388 It takes 5 minutes.
1. Inscrew the buts of the top of the two towers(haha, little Lord Of the Rings humor)
2. Place bar on passenger side and then place it over the driver side strut.
3. If it doesn't quite fit over the bolts then you can jack up the car. Or do what I did and take a soft hammer to just pop it over the bolt.
4. Torque the nuts back down to 33ft/lbs and take it for a test drive.

hi,
are there any precautions like bolt being too short?
let's conider some generic bar, because the bar bracket/base has thickness, is it possible that the original bolt on the tower is too short and we can't screw the base of bar to the tower?
can someone convert 33lb/ft to Newton/meter which is the unit of torque? I am kind of metric guy. note: 1 N=1KG*9.98m^2/sec=m*a

Rep Power: 0 I did a DIY on this before on the upper front strut complete with pics. Do a search for it. Basicly, you unscrew the nut, put the bar on, and then screw it back together. The only possible problem is that the brake resevoir will be in the way. Simply relocate it. You can 1) drill a new hole and bolt it lower or 2) bolt it in with the hose brace that's right in that area. If you got any problems, just PM me.
