Speed Sensor Question
if some one were to interupt the speed sensor wire at the dash cluster (with a toggle switch) would it stop accumulation of mileage?? it's a hypothetical question.

Hypotheticaly yes it will work and yes it's that easy and no check engine lights will come on! Of course we will never do anything illegal right.

I do not know about killing it at the dash, but if the sensor that aquires the speed info on the other end of the wire dies, yes the odometer stops too. I know this because the speed sensor in my brother's car burnt out. The car thinks is is going 0 MPH because no speed is being recorded, so no miles are accumulated.
