I heard that the D17 tranny is the same as D16 am i correct?...
cause that's what i 've heard in a mechanic in my local shops..
just want to double check..

The clutches are the same, but everything else is different. Different gear ratio's. The D17's tranny (manual) has cable linkage, the D16's has rod linkage. Externally they're shaped differently. Just take a look at them through Majestic Honda's website (www.hondaautomotiveparts.com).
