Where to find oem looking spoiler w/0 3rd brake light????
I am looking for a spoiler similar to the oem one w/o the 3rd brake light? There really is no reason to have 4 brake lights, and I think it looks stupid. I was just going to not hook it up, my only worry is I think the laws in NH state that if it's got one it has to work, regardeless of weither you allready have one in the stock location in the rear window. Anyone have any ideas????

I believe the law requires at least a third brake light to be showing. So, if you just unplug yours and hook up the one on the spoiler it's fine. You can search the Parts section for spoilers. Click Here.

When you look at the instructions for the OEM honda spoiler or even the OEM look-alikes, you will notice that you use the wiring from the third brake light mounted in the rear deck. So you still only have three brake lights.
Hope that helped.

that's what you're supposed to do, you unplug the one that is in the rear deck and use that for the one in the spoiler. You don't split or anything.
EDIT:
Tell ya what, i have to go take my calc final right now, but I'll try to find the instructions tonight and send a link in your direction to clear everything up. What you said in your edit is right; You use the wiring from the 3rd brake light in the rear deck to power the third brake light in the spoiler. You unplug it from the first and plug it back in to the spoiler.

Yeah, the spoiler should come with an extension for the wiring. You should'nt have to splice anything, UNLESS for some reason you want all 4 lights to come on. But I have yet to see that...

Thanks man.
Now I wish I had waited before I got my back window tinted, cause they left the 3rd light visible. Well know I have one in the spoiler they could have covered the one in the window up, damn.

I have 4 brake lights running and working properly,
I just stuck it into the 3rd brake light and taped, no cutting.
the original 3rd one is now covered by tints though...
I actually like the brake light on the spoiler
Bboysushi

i just unplugged the third brake light wires and left the spoiler plugged in. also, most places wont tint over the 3rd brake light area b/c of laws and because in some cars, not sure about ours, you have to remove the back deck area to get the light out of the way to tint there. either way, just unplug the 3rd brake light but leave the spoiler's plugged in.
