Need help to wire this stuff[image inside]

My friend bought a pack of this stuff for Christmas from Hong Kong. It comes with a EL light on it. I am just wondering how to wire it in order to make the light on when the door is open. I think it is not a good idea to attach it to the doom light since the wire will be too long. But I don't know how to attach it to the door sensor, do you guy know how to do it? Or i need to do something in the fuse box? Which wire??

Thanks!

I try it before and I can see the wire. The problem is I am not really good at electronic and electric stuff. Can you tell me what will go through the wire there when the door is open and close? Is it a positive 12v when the door is open or a (-)? I just want to get the signal to run a relay to control the on and off of the light.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I bet it is. The trunk and gas pop gives it away. Very cool
