I hit 130, on a decline though, 80 west coming out of PENN has lots of road and a good decline rate to test out top speeds. Redline did kick in though and cut the engine, I had my thrill and havent tested it since.[hr]

Did the same exact thing but I only hit 120 and it seemed that I can go a lot faster. It prolly would've topped at at like 135 though.

my buddy's sonoma tops out at 93 and hes got 17's with lo pro tires, so hes actaully doin like 80 when he tops out, damn chevy! lol
My 2k1 lx auto tops out at around 117mph. At an decline it can go a little past 120mph.
And yes I do believe there is an speed limiter that cuts off fuel at that point, at least on the lx.
I will be doing around 117mph in 4th gear around 4-5k rpm when the car bites back at me and slows me down.

my 02 EX coupe 5spd has been up to 125-128 running with a Jetta 1.8t and a Mercedes C-class. It was a one two three in a line heading to Delaware down the NJ turnpike. We had to shut down due to the toll booth. Then I took the lead, EZ pass is great.

yeah I was an F'ing moron for doing it, I realized it later though. I had no idea I was going that fast till I looked down and was like ****!
Def. a lesson learned, I typically do 80 on the highway and occasionally boost between 90-100 depending on the road I am on. When driving down to see my gf in Virginia, driving down 95 gets pretty boring at the same speed.
By the way, only mod I have is an AEM cai, with stock tires.
