Hello everyone. I havent taken my doors off yet, will be doing so in a week or so for my new speakers, but I was contemplating switching the fabric trim on my doors to leather, and I was wondering if anyone knows how complicated it is to remove the fabric....is the panel with the fabric on it removable or do I have to scrape the fabric off? Any help would be appreciated...thanks.

Rep Power: 306 I redid mine to match my racing seats, It cost me under $20 and took about 2 hours.
BTW the fabric is actualy much darker than it looks in the pics.

Yeah I did the DIY...and as my instructions show..it isn't for the faint hearted if you want an OEM apperance. I just traded that car in 1 month ago...and the coment I had from the dealer was.." I didn't realize that was an OEM option"..LOL......so my directions are good...but diffinitely not an easy mod. Now, the attached thread doesn't have my old pictures...so I'll repost for you guys..Peace!

Rep Power: 388 It is a pain in the ***!! maybe with leather it won't be so bad, but i had to put a border around mine to cover the parts that weren't covered by the fabric. I have pics if you want mine too. But again it is a pain in the *** and not worth it. pay someone to do it for you.

Rep Power: 0 Leather or Vinyl is harder..due to the rigidity of the fabric...which means it is harder to round the corners.....but once completed....and done correctly....it is very worth the look IMHO..Peace!
