Custom Axel back Exhaust question?

I planning on getting a custom made axel back exhaust with a Magnaflow muffler. I was just wondering what size piping should I get? I was thinking 2.25". Any input would be great. Thanks

I've heard some people get 2.25 and others get 2.5. Most say that 2.25 is the best for our cars.

Good Luck!

Axle back? That would be a very small section of the whole exhaust piping, would it really matter what the diameter of that short amount of the exhaust pipe is? I mean about 50% of the exhaust from the axle back is the muffler.

I dont know what that custom piping would do but why not 5 inches , more flow??? But Id go with what seems popular and what is proven to be beneficial.

Hey 94sedan, you live on El Cajon Blvd or in El Cajon? I'll be in Daygo next month...

Hey Black02, I've been thinking about doing the same thing. I wanna get a dual DTM muffler and put it on my sedan, I've heard 2.5 is a little too big and you lose a lot of backpressure or something. I heard the HKS Hiper is 2in (I think I heard that) and that maybe 2.25 is the best. I'm gonna go with 2 or 2.25 when I do it... Good luck and lemme know how it goes.... PM me or something when you do it....

Thanks guys, I'll probably go with a 2.25" pipe. Does anyone know the exact pipe diameter of the HKS axel back section? Also, SVongkasem, I'll let you know how it goes once I get it installed. Hopefully, Ill get it sometime within the next couple weeks. Thanks
